For my Cross Media Design II final school assignment we had to redesign and create a clickable mockup of the collaboration tool of the University of Cambridge. We first had to think about the structure of an application of this size, create wireframes and think about the flow of the application.
Then we had to create a unique design that shows more than the standard lists you find in most apps. The last step in the whole process was to create a working prototype in HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery to show how the flow of this website works.

Things I learned
One of the most important things I learned during the course of this project is not to give up easy when trying out a new idea or a new technology... For this particulary project we had about 5-6 weeks think about the concept, create wireframes, flowcharts, give it a unique design and make a working prototype of it
That being said it took me about 2 weeks (not fulltime ofcourse) to complete the concept and wireframes. But the design phase was a disaster at first. I tried multiple designs over the course of about 3 weeks and only 1 week before the deadline I still hadn't a descent design... After letting it rest for a day I deceided to go all in and designed it in 2 days and coded it in 3 more days. And I'm pretty happy with the result!
